Winter river
Lush Chaos

of water ...

yet to see
true shape
intangible air

Turbine Art Fair 2020

barefoot
yellow light
a few more minutes

of sea ..

that which floats me and frightens me.. freezes me and delights me ... now champagne - now silk ... that which shivers and shimmers with the true colours of my heart. Without falter i become water
Didn't see that coming...
All at Once
remembered light

of air..

empty and everything... sound and silence...that which carries all things known and unknown... whispers to me... moves through my transparent skin. In and out... inspire and expire... breathes me into nothingness
rush in
count on me
treasure hunt

of land ..

that which holds us up and which holds us near.... that which causes me to lie down and listen to the heartbeat from the deepest place .. that which i hold so dear
passing through

of sky ..

rainbringers building and releasing... endless space alight with gold or blue or blush or glitter... this limitless dream of here and there that puffs me up and flies me away
a particular moment
meeting space
spilling over

moments ..

fragments of fleeting feelings: as breath is to wind, as hue is to prism, as note is to symphony .. as a single heart full of delight is to falcon in full flight... little snatches of the overwhelming whole

lockdown drawings

These large works done in charcoal on paper were a response to the restrictions imposed on us due to the COVID outbreak. Suddenly alone in my studio, without the usual students, I followed the impulse to create outsize pieces - the kind I had dreamed of doing but had not had the space until now. Work of this scale is almost impossible to photograph successfully, and in a way that the size of the work is truly felt. For a better insight of the size of this work, please see the little video "The making of Many Hands" on the recent exhibition page.
